Our Commitment to Child Safety
HopeBridge AI Foundation is deeply committed to protecting the privacy, safety, and wellbeing of all users — especially children and school-age students. This page explains our approach to child safety and children's privacy on the HopeBridge AI platform.
Educational-Use Platform
HopeBridge AI Foundation is a digital education platform designed exclusively for educational purposes. The Platform provides:
- Video lessons organized by class and subject (Class 1 to Class 12)
- PDF study materials for classroom learning support
- Class-specific content access — students only see content relevant to their assigned class
The Platform is not a social media platform. It does not include social feeds, public user profiles, or open content-sharing features.
School-Managed Access
A fundamental aspect of child safety on HopeBridge is that student access is managed by schools:
- No self-registration: Students do not create their own accounts. All student accounts are created and provisioned by authorized school administrators or coordinators.
- Credential delivery: Login credentials are generated by the system and delivered to students via SMS (when enabled) or shared directly by the school.
- Class assignment: Students are assigned to specific classes by school administrators. They can only access content for their assigned class.
- School oversight: School administrators can view and manage student accounts, credentials, and access at any time.
This school-managed model ensures that adults maintain oversight of student access to the Platform.
No Public Social Features
To protect children from the risks associated with social media and open online interaction, the HopeBridge Platform does not include:
- Public user profiles visible to other students or users
- User-to-user public messaging or chat functionality
- Public content feeds or social walls
- User-generated content sharing (students cannot upload or post content)
- Public comments or ratings on educational content
Students interact with educational content (videos and PDFs) in a controlled, class-specific environment without exposure to open social interaction.
No Targeted Advertising
HopeBridge AI Foundation:
- Does not display advertisements on the Platform
- Does not use children's data for targeted advertising or marketing
- Does not share children's personal information with advertisers
- Does not use children's data to build advertising profiles
The Platform is funded through school subscriptions and partnerships, not through advertising.
Data Minimization
We follow a data minimization principle — collecting only the information necessary to provide the educational service:
- We collect student information that is directly relevant to account management and educational content delivery
- We do not collect information that is not needed for the educational service
- We do not require students to provide personal information beyond what the school administrator provides during registration
- Optional fields (such as email) are clearly marked and not required for account functionality
Parent and Guardian Rights
Parents and guardians of student users have the right to:
- Access information: Request information about what data we hold about their child
- Request correction: Request correction of inaccurate data
- Request deletion: Request deletion of their child's account and associated data
- Withdraw consent: Request that their child's participation in the Platform be discontinued
To exercise any of these rights, parents or guardians may:
- Contact the school administrator directly
- Email HopeBridge support at support@hopebridgeai.com
For data deletion requests, please see our Account & Data Deletion Request page.
School Responsibilities
We expect schools using the HopeBridge Platform to:
- Obtain appropriate authorization from parents/guardians before registering students
- Ensure compliance with applicable educational data protection laws in their jurisdiction
- Manage student accounts responsibly and maintain credential security
- Address parent/guardian inquiries about student data and Platform use
- Report any concerns about child safety or data protection to HopeBridge
